The JW Marriott Cancun is part of the Marriott hotel chain, and is located just 20 minutes from the Cancun International Airport.  Built in 2001, this hotel is beachfront and features 448 rooms.  Most of the rooms offer ocean or lagoon view. However, a few rooms directly face the Casa Magna resort and this may irritate some of the guests.  Each room is provided with a private terrace or a balcony.  Guests will enjoy 35,000 sf spa designed in a classic Mayan theme.  The resort is only twenty minutes from the Cancun International Airport.

JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa welcomes its visitors with the traditional moist, cool towels. In addition, every new arrival receives a complimentary welcome champagne and tuxedo strawberries.   In the rooms, the first thing that will strike you is the fact that they are fully carpeted.  Most visitors term this as a refreshing change from the marble floors that are used by most other resorts.   The suites feature standard amenities such as a flat panel TV, AC, cable channels, coffee maker, CD player, pull-out sofa bed, rollaway bed etc.  You can also take advantage of the mini-bar that is replenished every day.  However, you will have to pay extra charges if you ask for a refrigerator. If you are interested in checking your email, you can do this from the comfort of your room.  JW Marriott Cancun provides wireless internet access in all the guest rooms as well as on the beach & pool area.

If you love spending your time in the pool, then this resort can prove to be a good option.  The resort has three pools as well as a separate pool for young kids.  There is also a scuba pool which reaches a depth of 20 feet and has an artificial reef and fish.   Health buffs can visit the fitness center whose windows provide a view of the pool and the ocean.  In addition, you also have the opportunity to indulge in scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, water skiing and the sauna.  There are also on-resort tennis courts as well as off-resort bowling facilities.   Families with young kids can avail the services of a baby sitter or you can also opt to keep your kids at "Marriott Kids Club", where activities such as handicrafts, painting and fun-filled contests are regularly held.

‘Simply Seafood’ is the place to head if you are looking for some good breakfast options. cItalian cuisine is served at Gustino Italian Grill. Try out their signature ‘Filet Mignon’. cYou can also try out the BeachWalk MarketPlace for your lunch and sample ceviches, scallops, and the calamari.  Gourmet Deli is another option available.

Best Feature:

The spa is the best feature of JW Marriott Cancun. Built with a Mayan feel, the spa offers many facilities such as lap pool, massages, facial treatments, waxing, paraffin hand treatments. In addition, the spa also offers classes on various beauty treatments.
