The RIU Palace Riviera Maya is part of the RIU hotel chain, and was built in 2006. The resort features 400 rooms in a 3 storey complex.  The resort sits beachside along a fabulous stretch of white sand, alongside a lush tropical setting.  The town of Playa del Carmen is only 2 miles away, and the resort is only 34 miles from Cancun International Airport.

Each suite has a hydro-massage bathtub, living room area, two double beds or one king-size bed, a mini-bar, liquor dispenser, a ceiling fan and balcony or patio. Jacuzzi suites feature a Jacuzzi on an exterior terrace ocean view.
