The Golden Crown Paradise, built in 1997, is part of the Mexican Crown Paradise Resorts chain.  The hotel's 214 rooms, sits beachfront, with beautiful views of Banderas Bay.  Guests are only 5 minutes form downtown, and the airport.

Guests say that the resort staff is friendly, they are treated as royalty,   and that there is no dearth of activities, food and drinks at the resort.  Golden Crown Paradise is an adult-only resort and can prove to be a perfect place for anyone who is looking for a resort that offers an ambience suited for just for grown-ups.

As soon as you land at the Golden Crown Paradise, you will notice the Mexican architecture used throughout the resort.  Guests are greeted with a cold drink and cold towel.  Upon completion of the front desk formalities, you are taken on a short tour of the resort and then to your hotel room. 

Golden Crown Paradise has 214 rooms and suites to offer.  You can have a pick from Standard Room Ocean View, Standard Room Ocean Front, Honeymoon Rooms with Jacuzzi and Honeymoon Suites.  All the rooms offer a great view of the water.  Choosing the Honeymoon rooms and suites allows you to enjoy a mini bar that is stocked with beer and water.  All guests are greeted with a fruit basket and a bottle of wine.  Guests say that the rooms are neat and clean.  The rooms are fitted with standard equipment such as AC, ceiling fan, coffee maker, cable tv, telephone, safe etc.  However the safe is not large enough to hold a laptop or similar size items.  If you happen to be heavy user of the internet, then the Golden Crown Paradise might disappoint you.  The resort does not provide a broadband Internet connection in individual rooms.  However, you can connect the telephone line to your laptop and surf the Internet on a dial-up connection.

Since Golden Crown Paradise is a beachfront resort, you have the option of either swimming in the water or just taking a walk down the sand.  There are no rocks or seaweed, hence you may choose not to wear shoes.  But while swimming do not expect crystal blue water as it is often a bit muddy.  The shoreline is lined with beach chairs and you can choose one to enjoy the sun.  However, guests say that there are far too many vendors on the beach.  In addition, you will also have to face small kids around the beach area as the, Golden Crown Paradise shares the beach with its two sister resorts that are family resorts.

Besides the beach, you can also use the swimming pool.  Guests say that the pool is big and there are lots of activities conducted there.  You can look to participate in tequila volleyball, water aerobics, volleyball, introductory scuba diving lessons, basketball etc.  However, some guests say that the music is loud and at times it can get on your nerves.

If you want to stay fit, you can attend yoga classes conducted on the beach or work out at the gym.  In addition, the resort also organizes non-motorized water sport activities such as kayaking and snorkeling.  The Golden Crown also has two tennis courts, and a multifunctional court that can be used for activities like soccer, handball, volleyball or basketball.

The resort has a wide variety of food to offer that will satisfy the most demanding of customers.  The poolside snack bar is famous for its pork tacos, jalapenos, guacamole and nachos.  You can also venture into Salvadors restaurant to try out the enjoyed steak, pork loin, and shrimps.  Golden Crown Paradise is also famous for its drinks. T he blue Hawaiian is pina colada with blue curacao, the miami viace is a pina colada with strawberry daquiri, or just go for a Frozen Monkey, strawberry margarita etc.  Similarly, do not forget to go in for the ‘Sexy Coffee’ offered at the restaurants.  Place an order and pay a close attention to its preparation.

The Spa is the best feature of the resort.  Here you can go in for hand & foot treatments, body scrubs & exfoliations, body treatments, aromatherapy massages and facial treatments.  You can choose from Cleopatra’s favorite, acupressure, reflexology, hot stone massage, sun lovers facial, waxing, scalp treatment, French manicure etc.
